Is there a Coronavirus vaccine yet?

Coronavirus disease, also known as COVID-19 is an infectious disease that the world has had to is deal with and the news and tv reporters are repetitively talking about this subject, which is a bit overwhelming.

As we hoped thousands of people are donating their time and effort to find a cure for this pandemic, a vaccine. The vaccine will train our immune system to fight the virus so we don’t become sick the same thing that other vaccines do, like the vaccine of the flu, they both have the same purpose, which is protecting us from getting sick. They have been one or other attempts of the vaccine, but still no vaccine has completed the clinical trial. The World Health Organization (WHO) said it may take up to 18 months for scientists to find the cure because of all the details and processes it takes to be made. Trials need to show the vaccine is safe and find a way to produce the vaccine on a large scale so that it can be developed for the billions of potential doses. Medical regulators need to approve it first so that, among many other things, we get the vaccine in our systems and become immune to the virus.

Most recent vaccine news:

  • The first human trial for a vaccine was announced last month by scientists in Seattle.
  • Australian scientists have begun injecting ferrets with two potential vaccines.
  • In Oxford, the first human trial in Europe has started with more than 800 recruits.

However, we as citizens have lots of questions, for the government and scientists, such as the cost, side effects, and cultural impacts, this pandemic has drastically shifted our lifestyles and various countries economies and. not in a good way, so the vaccine would be a great innovation in medicine and help during these times. For now, all we can do is stay calm and social distance to held that virus from spreading further.
